LAURA WARD COLLINS
Laura Ward Collins was born into a family with a storied theatrical history and deep and prolific roots in the early years of Broadway, most notably with her Great-Great Uncle George being Mr. Abbott, the legendary Broadway director, playwright and producer. She spent much of her childhood on the stage, and had a vocal performance minor in college.
Laura sang as a featured soloist at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco for many years. Musical Theater role highlights include Josephine (H.M.S. Pinafore), Robin (Godspell), Laurey (Oklahoma), and Luce (The Boys From Syracuse). She now actively performs as a cabaret artist including recent shows in Philadelphia, Seattle and Portland.
Concurrently, educated with both an MA and international MBA, Laura comes to TYFE with a long track record of providing investors with significant opportunities to support meaningful projects around the world. She spent a number of years working on the programs side of international development (living overseas in Poland, India and Egypt), before returning to the U.S. and segueing into executive leadership fundraising and communications roles for both international and domestic nonprofits.
Three years ago, with deep experience successfully managing significant growth strategy, Laura founded her own philanthropy firm, LWC Consulting Corp. She now provides her expertise to multiple clients, including running multi-million $ capital campaigns, creating high-level strategic plans and restructuring development departments.
Laura is thrilled to be partnering with Julie through Thank You Five Entertainment, and bringing their shared mission to life of producing compelling theatre that elevates storytelling and deepens human connection through live performance . Growing up surrounded by the arts as an essential part of a full life, and with Laura’s professional background in both the performing arts as well as business and philanthropy, it feels very full circle and a natural evolution to be carrying on her family legacy through TYFE.
